My passion is empowering individuals on their healing journey through deeper self-awareness, understanding, and self-acceptance. I believe in the profound resilience of the human spirit and our innate capacity for emotional healing, growth, and transformation.
My hope for you is simple and powerful: that you awaken to a life you genuinely want to live and feel your inherent worth and value.
I view the therapeutic relationship as a collaborative and supportive partnership, seeing us as co-creators in bringing forth your future self. I provide presence, commitment, and clarity to our work, creating an environment where you don’t have to perform, rush, or feel anxious. This is a space where you are met with steadiness, curiosity, and respect—exactly as you are.
My professional path to social work has been shaped by a deep commitment to advancing social and racial justice and equity, grounded in the importance of truth-telling and reconciliation as essential components of systemic change. I have a longstanding history of volunteering, activism, and nonprofit work with underserved and marginalized communities. I strive to practice in ways that are inclusive and affirming, while upholding strong professional ethics and maintaining a commitment to cultural humility and ongoing awareness building.
I see clients in person in the greater Houston area and via telehealth throughout Texas.
Please feel free to message me here, email christina@sensingtheself.com, or DM on Instagram @sensingtheself if you have any questions. I'd love to hear from you and start a conversation.
Wishing you the best, today and every day.
