I approach the therapeutic process through an attachment-focused lens, which means the strength of our therapeutic relationship affects the overall outcome of your treatment. It is important that we develop trust, that you have faith in my expertise, and that you believe I want the best for you in all areas of life. Which I do (insert smiley emoji). We will discuss hard things together, and you're welcome and invited to bring up all areas of concern, truthfully and directly. There is no discussion off limits for us. We get to explore together with curiosity and compassion.
I am happy to provide a FREE 15-minute video consultation to directly address any questions or concerns you might have. This discussion allows us both the opportunity to trial an appointment and decide if we're a good therapeutic fit.
EMDR was initially developed to treat PTSD and one-time traumatic events, but has since expanded to address CPTSD and long-term relationship wounding. I like to creatively weave EMDR practices into our time if it benefits you, particularly when we're uncovering and addressing negative core beliefs. EMDR traditionally has its own set of protocols, which we can discuss and tailor to your individual needs.
I hold flexible office hours Monday - Friday, including early morning and evening appointments. I'm happy to work with you on establishing a set weekly appointment, extended sessions to do deeper work, or changing appointments as needed.
My rate is $150 per 55-minute session. Payment is accepted in the form of Zelle or Venmo, and to be received no less than 24 hours before our scheduled session time. If payment has not been received, then the session is considered unconfirmed and will not be held.
At Sensing the Self, I am considered an out-of-network provider and all payments are collected as cashpay. The benefits of scheduling this way are:
If you would like to use your insurance benefits, I can provide a super bill. Some insurance companies will issue reimbursements to cover a portion of the cost of sessions. This will require you contact your insurance provider for more information about your benefits.
If you have insurance benefits and this is the only way you can proceed with therapy, we can discuss alternative options by working through other organizations.
